Logo & Brand Identity
Boudoir photography company, Under the Garter, has been capturing people’s wildest dreams and raciest fantasies for years. Their clean, basic wordmark always took a back seat to their photography. Sometimes this was exactly what they wanted; however, when it came to attracting new clientele and appealing to a more affluent market or Denver-ites, they felt they needed something more striking – more luxurious. From the moment they walked through the door, the experience they provided their customers was extravagant. The photographer duo wanted their clients to have this feeling immediately, the very first time they came in contact with the brand.
After many different concepts and revision rounds, we landed on a clean and modern monogram for the logo.
From the primary logo, we created alternates to be used in different circumstances (vertical, horizontal, small spaces, etc..). These varieties included a taste of Art Deco – the perfect inspiration around which to build an identity! Dark navy paired with gold and charcoal highlights were rich. The fonts, modern. This combination was hand selected to be web and print friendly, giving the pair something easy to work with when creating their own marketing materials down the road.
This is a great example of branding that caters to a client’s specific needs. I can’t wait to work more in this style in the future!
